  • Refresher training on STI/RTI for Medical Officers and staff nurses on 14 and 16-12-2009 on the subject: Communication skills in history taking of STI/RTI subject and sexual violence, management of high risk group

• Data is being contributed to FOGSI in many conferences held last year. Dr. Madhu is also a Resource person in PPTCT Programme w.r.t Birth defect registry, National Cancer Cervix registry, National Eclampsia registry, National maternal mortality survey.

• Dr. Narotam Bhalla, Prof Medicine was invited as the Chief Guest and the speaker in the ADDA, conference held in U.K in 2009. He also has been selected as a Member of the Regional Faculty by Public Health Foundation of India for imparting specialized training in Diabetes Care Management.

• Dr. Gurinder Mohan, Prof Medicine was invited to deliver a lecture on “Interstitial Lung disease – Recent concepts” at a chest conference in Singapore, in 2009.

• Dr. Gurinder Mohan, Prof Medicine is going to be awarded “Fellowship of Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine” on 31^st Oct at IACMCON-2010 at Kolkata.

• Dr. B.C Sarin, Prof Chest & TB is actively involved in RNTCP Programme.

• Dr. Meenakhshi Gupta, Professor Pharmacology has got CMCL-FAIMER-fellowship in 2009.

• Dr. Arvinderpal Singh Batra, Assoc. Prof. Anatomy had got santioned grant of Rs. 9 Lakhs from UGC for major research project "To assess efficacy of Plasma pyruvate kinase M2 and lyphocytic profile as prognostic marker in esophageal cancer” and has been working as Co-Investigator in this project.and got registered as a PhD candidate in Human Genetic department, GNDU, Amritsar

• Dr. Gursharan Singh Assoc. Prof. Paediatrics has been nominated as a nodal officer in AFP (Acute Flaccid Paralysis) Surveillance programme by Govt of India and 35 cases have been reported since 2003 till date by Paediatrics department.

• Dr. Puneeta Salwan, Assoc Prof Anatomy has got CMCL-FAIMER-fellowship Program – 2010 from 12 – 18 January, 2010 as a Fellow.

• Dr. Richa Ghai, Assoc Prof Physiology has been selected for CMCL-FAIMER-fellowship 2011.

• Dr. Baljeet Singh, Orthopaedics has undergone training in Arthroscopy at Mississippi Sport Centre, U.S.A.

• Dr. Sachin Gupta, Orthopaedics is trained in Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine from Dec. 15, 2008 to Feb. 27, 2009.

• Dr. Gagan Khanna, Orthopaedics got Fellowship in Arthroplasty starting from Aug, 2008.

• Dr. Shailender Jeet Singh, Orthopaedics Has got  fellowship in ilizarov and deformity correction at a reputed institution (Agarwal Orthopedics Research Centre, Gorakhpur) for a period of 6 months from 16-05-2009 to 15-11-2009

• Dr. Arti Dewan, Orthopaedics has selected for Senior Research Associate Fellow in "Posterior Procedures in the management of cervical spondyhenylopathy" at Deptt. of Orthopedics, PGIMER, Chandigarh on May 7, 2007

• Dr. Rohit Sharma Orthopaedics has got double fellowship in “SPINE SURGERY” from Singapore and Delhi in 2009-2010. He participated in “AO Spine Advance Course” and also in “Hands on cadaveric Cervical Spine Course” at Singapore in 2010. 

• Dr. Sheevani, Microbiology got first prize in Free Paper Presentation at MICROCON 2009 held at Jammu. She also Participated in “QUIZ MIND CHECK” 2009 held at Jammu.

• Dr. Paras Khullar, Paediatrics has written a book on Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination named “Toppers Topics for PG Medical Entrance” and has successfully given two editions in last two yrs.

• Dr. Prahlad Duggal, ENT was awarded junior consultants best Paper award at NWZAOICON 2010 at Ludhiana.

• Dr. Vivek Munjal, Psychiatry was awarded for best Paper presentation in Psychiatry conference in 2010.
