Admission Procedure for GNM Course

Total No. of Seats: 60

Eligibility Criteria

1.       Minimum and Maximum age for admission shall be 17 and 35 years respectively.

2.       Minimum education :

a)      10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 40% marks.

b)      Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

3.       Students shall be medically fit.

Entrance/Selection

The selection of candidate shall be made on merit, based on marks obtained by them in 10+2. The college has total 60 seats out of which 50% are reserved for Sikh Minority candidates.

Duration

            Duration of the course shall be 3 ½ years.

Admission B.Sc. (Nursing)

Admission Procedure for B.Sc. (Nursing) Course

 Total No. of Seats: 50

Eligibility Criteria

1.     The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31^st Dec. of the year of admission.

2.     The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of:

a)  Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years Course)

Or

b)  Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)

Or

c)   An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCB

3.     Candidate shall be Medically Fit.

Entrance/Selection Test

Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by University or competent authority. The college has total annual intake of 50 seats & as such 25 seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to Sikh Minority Community on All India Basis. Remaining 25 seats are filled up by Baba Farid University Health Sciences, Faridkot.

Duration of the course shall be four years including internship.

Admission Procedure for Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) Course

Total No. of Seats: 40

Eligibility Criteria

1.      The candidate must has passed Senior Secondary or any other examination are is equivalent thereto.

2.      The candidate must have completed General Nursing & Midwifery Course. She must be registered with respective state nursing council as approved by Indian Nursing Council.

3.      Students shall be medically fit.

The selection of candidate shall be made on merit, based on marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination i.e. GNM. The college has total 40 seats out of which 50% are reserved for Sikh Minority candidates
